LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Wednesday issued notices to the Punjab chief secretary and the Local Government secretary challenging recruitments of 500 persons by the provincial government in the Punjab Saaf Pani Company. The court sought final arguments on the application filed by advocate Sheraz Zaka on April 6. Sheraz Zaka had filed the application with his already pending petitions challenging the establishment of different companies, including the Punjab Agricultural and Meat Company, Lahore Waste Management Company, Lahore Parking Company, Lahore Transport Company and the Punjab Saaf Pani Company. The petitioner had stated that there should have been a provincial law to form such companies. He requested the court to immediately stop the recruitment process in the Punjab Saaf Pani Company.
